Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "What you do speaks so loud that I cannot hear what you say." If only more people realized how true Emerson's words are.
Recently, I met a wonderful woman in my Ladies Who Launch Incubator Group, named, Robyn Hatcher! Robyn, a beautiful presence, graced the room with her fluent speaking style and constructive criticism....so much so, that several of the ladies in the room were often turning to her for advice and help, so to speak.
I think I can speak and convince people that I am likeable and trustworthy, and most importantly, that they should buy my product for those exact reasons. So why do I, at times, not always end up winning the perfect deal or convincing that amazing account that my line is right for them? Apparently, like most of the seemingly and brilliantly eloquent, my approach, ha hum, needed a little help.
In steps Robyn, and her SpeakEasy Workshops where she teaches the fundamentals and the importance of your approach, your body language and how you present yourself. Incredibly, in just 2 hours I was speaking more clearly (and slowly), more relaxed in my being and much more convincing! My plan is to continue to work with Robyn on important presentations....she has changed the way I look at myself and my line!

Finding My Way to Center
A former yoga teacher and true believer in the power of yoga to transform human beings, I have found some tranquility in knowing that my knowledge of yoga is not just for me, but for me to share with everyone I meet. It has been almost 2 years since I have taught yoga. I took a hiatus when living in San Francisco because of my crazy travel schedule and when things became more serious with "then current beau", I decided to move to NYC to take my life to the next level...
Fast forward- many changes, several moves, a breakup and finally having settled in..I have an opportunity to teach again. After randomly teaching a class while on vacation in the "OC" at Equinox (my gym), I was approached by the group fitness director who offered me a job on the spot. When he found out I was visiting from NYC, he recommended that I approach his NY counterparts....and with a fantastic recommendation from him, I did. They were excited to have the referral...but I was told that I would have to audition! I thought to myself..."but I just got this great referral and I have always been in recruited to teach at my previous teaching jobs...why do I have to audition? I am a great teacher. My students loved me. They loved my teaching style and sense of humor....what's an audition like?"
Yesterday was my audition. It was one of the most interesting experiences in my entire life. I was in a room with at least 15 group fitness directors and 20 yoga teaching hopefuls. We all practiced together and took turns teaching for 4 minutes....how can someone grade you on teaching for 4 minutes...years and years of training and practice summed up in 4 minutes! Usually calm and collected... or maybe calm and excited..a bit of the nerves hit me like it was my first day in school or something. I got 2 poses out of it and, unlike a few in the room, was able to complete my sequence......I was thinking...please pick me, please pick me. Well its up to the universe to decide now (and the group fitness directors at Equinox). I put this out there with detachment for the results and a desire to take what is given back to me!
Please pick me..please pick me...see your childhood desires still come out as an adult it may seem.
Namaste!

Are you attractive?
I am always amazed by the power of thoughts to become things. We have all heard of the secret and the law of attraction. Regardless, it truly amazes me how your feelings influence what is going on around you and what is brought into your life.
For instance, i was feeling low a dreary a few weeks ago and I ended up getting sick. I really wanted to feel better and have a great weekend since there was a birthday party coming up that I wanted to attend, and by putting my intention to feel better and believing that I WOULD feel better, I magically did.
Regardless, I am putting it into practice now and not looking back. I just met an amazing woman named Brooke Emery, who has helped me refocus on the positive so that I can bring the fantastic in....
